Jeff is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that earned his degree from the University of Utah in 2007.  Jeff is experienced in helping both juveniles and adults with sexual behavior problems, substance abuse issues, marital/relationship problems, and general mental health.  He genuinely enjoys working with people in bettering their lives, and is committed to doing so.  Clients often state that Jeff is easy to talk to, and that they enjoy working with him. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys weight lifting, competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and hanging out with his wife and three dogs.

Receiving his Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Utah in 1989, and his Licensure for LCSW in 1995, Mike holds extensive experience working with adolescents and adults with mental health and substance use issues and their families. He also has experience working with sex offender population in community-based programs, and within the justice systems, and is working toward becoming a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Professional (CSOTP). He is skilled at working within the juvenile and adult justice systems, Adult Probation and Parole (AP&P), drug courts, and state health and human services system.  His areas of specialty are mental health issues, working with sex offenders, substance abuse/dependence, cognitive thinking, and working with families, couples, and adolescents.

 

Mike became a therapist because he believes in people’s ability to facilitate change in their lives and empower themselves the people they were meant to be.  Mike is married and has nine children and 15 grandchildren.  Mike is fluent in Spanish.  He is an avid sports fan and loves gardening and spending time outdoors in your spare time.

Jen Wojciechowski, MSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the field of social work for nearly 18 years. She completed her graduate degree in social work in 2006 at the University of Utah. During her career, Jen has worked as a therapist with children, teens, and adults dealing with a variety of trauma-related issues and cyclical behaviors, including sexual offending behaviors. She has wide-ranging experience working with male and female adult sexual offenders within the corrections system, and has been trained in EMDR. She is passionate about supporting others in discovering their truth, embracing who they are, and finding ways of living a good life.

Jennifer has a Masters of Mental Health Counseling degree from University of Phoenix, and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She has experience working with clients dealing with grief, trauma, sexual behavior problems, and substance abuse. She has provided therapeutic treamtent to residential and outpatient cleints who have been convicted/adjudicated of sexual offenses, both adults and juveniles. Jennifer is trained in EMDR; certified in Matrix Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Specific Treatment, a certified MRT clinician, Motivational Interviewing certified, NOJOS (Utah Network on Juveniles Offending Sexually), and an Approved Provider for the Utah Department of Corrections.

Justin received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Weber State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. Justin has worked in the social services and mental health counseling field for over 6 years and is an approved affiliate provider with UDOC/AP&P. He has worked with various populations, including trauma victims, addictive behavior, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, sex offenders, and general mental health. He takes pride in being able to connect with others and work with them on creating a better life for themselves. Justin is  married, loves to snowboard, and plays electric guitar.

Nita received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from St. Catherine University/University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.  Currently, she is a Certified Social Worker, but is excited to continue her work  towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  Nita is the full time therapist under our contract with Weber County Correctional Facility, providing clients with brief solutions therapy and emotional support.  In addition she is participating as a liaison for the Mental Health Court.   Her previous  experience includes working at a residential facility for young men with anxiety disorders and a drop in center for youth experiencing homelessness.  Each provided her experience  in working with trauma, generalized anxiety, OCD, phobias, panic attacks borderline personality disorder and PTSD.  Nita is eager to continue learning and growing within the therapeutic field.  Outside of work she enjoys being active and spending time outdoors.

Liz began her career in the mental health field working with teens/families in residential treatment as well as juvenile probation. She earned a dual Bachelors of Science degree in Social Work & Psychology from Weber State University and went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. She then began working primarily with adults and parents in social services settings providing case management to those experiencing poverty, homelessness, and substance use disorders. Now Liz is an Approved Affiliate Provider for UDC/AP&P and fills several different roles with Alpha Counseling; working in a variety of settings including County Jails, halfway houses, and traditional outpatient individual and group therapy to provide the most comprehensive level of care to our clients. In her spare time she enjoys baking, spending time with her dogs, and traveling.

Diana began her career in the mental health field working with domestic violence survivors and their families. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Social Work from Weber State University and went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Our Lady of The Lake University. Diana worked with Alpha during her graduate level internship which allowed her to gain experience in working with mostly adult clients as her bachelor’s undergrad was mostly with children. She is currently working part time as therapist for Alpha counseling. She completes one on one individualized therapy and runs weekly groups for the company. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family.

Adrien McCleery received her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Utah in 2009. She spent the next six years working with terminally ill patients and their families in hospice care. Since 2004 she has been facilitating programs each month at the Utah State Prison as part of a volunteer program which aims to bring the practice of meditation to incarcerated men and women. Adrien loves her work and supporting her clients in uncovering their potential for growth.

Shea received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. Shea has worked in the social services and mental health counseling field for four years. She has worked with crisis management, domestic violence, substance use, depression, anxiety, and recently sex offenders. She likes learning from others and helping others reach their full potential. Shea is a big Utes fan, and loves watching most sports. She is married and loves the outdoors,especially camping.

Ani has earned her first bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies at the Yerevan State University in her homeland, Armenia. At the age of 20 she received a full four year scholarship from Jon Huntsman and moved to United States to pursue her second bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Sociology. After graduating from Utah State University with her second bachelor’s degree, she got accepted to Masters of Social Work program at the University of Utah. She has experience working with adolescents and adults that struggle with various psychological disorders and mental health issues. She is very passionate about working with marginalized and disadvantaged populations, and takes pride in her profession. On her free time Ani enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and 2 adopted dogs.

Tiffany began her career in mental health working for a crisis center in Okaloosa County Florida along with their mental health emergency service unit. She then went on to coordinate their suicide hotline and sexual assault response team.  She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Park University in Parkville Missouri, along with Psychosocial Rehabilitation certifications from the state of Idaho.  Tiffany worked in psychosocial therapy with families in the community and public school system in Idaho before moving to Utah.  She then went on to work with domestic violence victims and their families before pursuing her Master Degree in Social work with Our Lady of the Lady University.  She currently works full time for Alpha Counseling. She completes one on one individualized therapy sessions and runs weekly groups for the agency.  In her spare time she loves to hike and spend time with her family.
